Thank you RH. It was a bit of a trial, both the trial and the one and three quarter hour real deal.

Trial! What rubbish! Work is always a trial!

Well I'll tell you what, most of these cafe owners are ex-stockbrokers, investors and finance fiends, they know a good con when they see one. And anyway, you'd be the best waitress in NSW, I can tell.

Um, depends on how one reads the sign, I guess - was it the hut that committed the murders? .. or perhaps the perpetrator was "Hut Gully", considering the orange temporary barrier just past the sign .. heh.

Bwca I agree and if it were only me I'd happily 'shift'. However Luke ages noticeably every time we move. I'm consoled a bit by the fact that he now has Shep to help him feel at home in a new paddock. But I really would prefer to be able to stay where I am until such time as I make the decision to split.

Coffs is a nice placed to visit but . . .

moving is not necessarily a bad thing.
some people are unaffected, and others hate it.
I have moved A LOT in 60 years.
My longest stop was 12 years with my parents.
Since then my longest stops have been 4 years in houses that I actually owned (5 of those).
I like your list - not much concrete in it.
We haven't overlapped, but I have spent a week in Coffs and I loved it.
I loved the marina and the pelicans on the lightpoles.
Happy Trails to you.

You are not alone.
'Out There' - the other side of the 4th wall, is the UNreality.
Happy AdLand families all eating together in bright warm homes; the snowy-toothed clear-skinned tanned and slim young things in print-ads extolling the product which gives them these attributes.
We have all bade goodbye to a time of luxury or indulgence, uttering that sorrow "and now back to the real world".
oh yes indeed.
Is it cynicism which nags at us "this loveliness is only temporary".

"life was not meant to be easy, but if we try, we can find some contentment" is the complete quote

... made by J.M. Fraser one time, and never reported in full ever after. it may have been Ayn Rand in the first place
